✭Matinée Wednesday: Round Sixteen
Matthew Broderick, AKA, Matthew Jessica Parker, returned to Broadway in the 2009 revival of The Philanthropist. This was the third and final show in a series presented by the Roundabout Theatre Company, to which my mother had purchased tickets. The first two, Distracted, starring Cynthia Nixon and Waiting For Godot, starring Nathan Lane, were fair at best, so...

Facebook v1.0
Surely, if you do not have a Facebook profile of your very own, then you must know someone who does. Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook has become ubiquitous! But I actually remember a time before Facebook. When I started college way back in August of 2003, Loyola University Maryland (née Loyola College … See, a lot can change in seven years!) provided each entering freshman with their...

Ticket Stub Tuesday… Round Twenty-Three:
And so, with this entry, the month of Spice officially closes. This is the fourth and final entry to “Ticket Stub Tuesday” of a Spice Girls related show. And although my entries are chronological, clearly the best was saved for last. Come on! What could be better than seeing the Spice Girls (all 5 of them, no less!) at Madison Square...

AmEx Rep: Thank you for calling American Express; how may I assist you today?
Me: Hi, yes, I'd like to purchase preferred seating tickets to Billy Elliot.
AmEx: Okay sir, I'd be happy to help you with that. ... I can't seem to find him in here. Would you mind telling me what genre he is?
Me: Excuse me?
AmEx: What genre of music... he's that country guy, right?
Me: Oh, well, it's actually a Broadway show.
AmEx: I understand that sir, but what genre is he?
Before I slept with Greg, I slept with Caitlin and it was phenominal.

✭Matinée Wednesday: Round Fifteen
Worst. Show. EVER. It’s hard to believe that this production of Waiting For Godot was nominated for three TONY awards, including one for “Best Revival of a Play” in 2009. When I heard that Nathan Lane was cast as Estragon, I was very excited to see it. I was wrong. I don’t even want to waste my time writing about this piece of garbage....

Ticket Stub Tuesday… Round Twenty-Two:
During the Return of the Spice Girls Tour of 2007/2008, Melanie C. performed two solo shows on off-days. One show was in L.A. and the other was here in New York at the Manhattan Ballroom.
@SimTilver had gotten us the tickets, but, unfortunately, on the day of the show, he came down with death-plague and was unable to make it to the concert. I was so...

✭Matinée Wednesday: Round Fourteen
In early 2009, my mom bought tickets to a series of shows produced by the Roundabout Theatre Company. The first was this show, Distracted, starring Cynthia Nixon of Sex and the City fame. (The next two entries in this series will cover those shows: Waiting For Godot and The Philanthropist). This was an off-Broadway production which was performed at the Laura...

Ticket Stub Tuesday… Round Twenty-One:
After the first night of seeing the Spice Girls at Nassau Coliseum, @Mchin9 and I were hell-bent on getting tickets for night two. While my concert buddy for round one was @SimTilver, Mandy was at the show too and she and I are the only people crazy enough to see the same show two days in a row. (Actually, I have a feeling that many people did the...
