Today was awesome. Hands down. Brunch was epic, meaning there were were eleven people in attendance: Lisi, Matt, Phil, Tim, Heather, Kari, Andy, Mandy, Jeremy and his new manfriend, “Benjamin,” and myself. We were laughing the entire time. I got an egg white omlet — which was delicious. Matt took some ridiculous photos, which I hope he posts soon.
After brunch, Heather, Andy and I went to Leo’s for some sidewalk beverages, since it was so beautiful out. While enjoying our baked clams, a woman sitting outside of Starbucks passed out, so Lisi called the police (for the second day in a row… LMAO). When they arrived, they found a half consumed handle of vodka in her bag. Oh, well… such is life in the village of Garden City.
Beginning to get a little peckish, Heather, Andy and I moved down the street to Novitá, our favorite restaurant, where Caitlin met us after her baby shower. (Not her baby shower…. a baby shower for someone else that she was invited to). Dinner was delicious, as usual. I got the rigatoni alla vodka… I highly recommend it. We finished two bottles of vino (Boggle Sirrah, which my dad turned me on to) which I was happy that Caitlin liked.
The ladies went home, and Andy and I went to Starbucks where we met up with Matt again. We waited for Lisi to get out of work and then the four of us went to Croxleys to meet up with Phil and Ashley. We had some wings and beer.
I feel like all I did today was drink and eat, but it was such a great day, I’m beginning to think that that’s all you need in life is: friends, booze and some food.
Now I feel fat… haha.
