Last Wednesday, on this season’s finale of Dancing With the Stars, head judge Len Goodman referenced this dance from season five. Spice Girl Melanie Brown and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy dance the Samba to “Spice Up Your Life.” This was a fantastic performance and anyone who watched this season of the show knows that Mel and Maks were ROBBED. They came in second place, behind Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough. Clearly, this dance made an impression on Len, if he’s making mention of it two years after it was performed.
This video is great not only for the dance, but also because of the behind the scenes clip in the beginning. Mel and Maks rehearsed much of this dance in London while the Spice Girls were shooting the video for “Headlines (Friendship Never Ends).” Geri, Emma and Vikki make cameos in the clip!
