Sugar and Spice and everything nice… round 16:

Let Love Lead the Way was released as a double A-side single from “Forever,” along with Holler. Before the Spice Girls completely abandoned their promotion for “Forever,” they were planning on releasing three more singles from it: Tell Me Why, If You Wanna Have Some Fun, and Weekend Love. Unfortunately, that never came to pass as the girls decided to focus on their solo careers instead. This performance of Let Love Lead the Way is from “Top of the Pops (TOTP),” December 2000. It was the girls’ last number one single, however, it missed being their fourth Christmas #1 by just a few days.

Sugar and Spice and everything nice… Round 8:

The Spice Girls’ second, consecutive Christmas #1 came in 1997 with Too Much, the second single released from “Spice World.” This performance from “Top of the Pops (TOTP)” comes from the penultimate week in December, when the song was still only in the number two slot. The opening sequence of the Spice Girls’ motion picture, “Spice World,” features the girls performing the song on “TOTP,” similarly to this.
